Have you ever felt vulnerable and exposed?
The other day I was reading about Nehemiah and his quest to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.
As I read through this incredible story I was struck by how many gates there were to repair and rebuild.
Even when the people rebuilt the walls they were only completely protected if the gates were repaired and closed.
Opportunities are a bit like gates. Some opportunities are beneficial. They grow us, enrich our lives and bring joy whereas other opportunities can cause deep damage and bring with them pain and sadness.
If we want to have strong lives and strong families we need to ask God what are the gates that are open, leaving us vulnerable to the work of the enemy.
As God reveals this to us we then have the opportunity to ask God to close those gates and seal them with His blood.
