Underestimating the Impact of the Little Things in Life

Memorable Moment

Have you ever felt like what you are doing has little to no impact at all?

Sometimes we can look at people and think that they are doing so much more than us. But God doesn’t see it that way. God’s measure of greatness doesn’t revolve around position or power.

In Acts, we read that a lady called Tabitha had died and Paul went to her house

As he arrives the room is filled with people weeping at the loss. As they weep they show Paul the clothing that Tabitha had made for them.

There is such an outpouring of sorrow and grief for this lady. It’s incredible to think that something as simple as making coats could have such a dramatic impact on peoples lives.

As Christians we can easily fall into the trap of classifying giftings, seeing some people’s gifts as greater than others.

Tabitha lived her life being kind to people and helping the poor, may we never underestimate the importance of the little things in life.
