How do you feel about receiving criticism?
It’s hard to hear someone else’s opinion of us or what we are doing. It can often be easier to shut those voices out or water down their opinion to make it easier to digest.
With the rise of social media, criticism seems to be something that is becoming increasingly more prevalent. We now have the ability to be vocal about all matter of issues and to all number of people.
Proverbs 25:12 suggests that valid criticism is like a gold jewellery.
Valid criticism is valuable to us. This type of criticism usually comes from someone who loves us and wants the best for us.
When we learn to discern what is valid and worth taking on board as opposed to that which is damaging, we will be able to value criticism as a useful tool to help us to grow and mature.
