Have you ever felt so much anguish over something that it is all you could focus on?
David knew about anguish. He spent most of his life running away from a psychopath that was intent on killing him.
Yet in Psalm 118, David writes… “I called to the Lord in distress; the Lord answered me and put me in a spacious place”.
David found this place of space in pressing times because he called out to God and then listened for His answer.
When we trust God we will be protected from being overcome with negative thoughts. It is from this spacious place God equips us with everything we need to not only survive but thrive in the hard seasons of life.
