Have you ever experienced a need that never seems to get fulfilled?
Today, I want to talk to you about God-shaped holes.
These are deep longings in our hearts that never seem to be satisfied. They usually stem from a childhood experience and without even realizing it a desire or a need forms that never seems to go away.
It may be a feeling of being alone even when you’re surrounded by friends. It may be an unquenchable need for love that never seems fulfilled.
So often we expect those around us to fill that need. We put pressure on them to meet a need that they were never supposed to.
The truth about these God-shaped holes is that God is the only one who can fill them.
When we take those needs to God, He is faithful to heal us. He will restore that area so it is no longer something we are trying to manage but a testimony of His Grace.
